Sarah Polvere
PSYCHOLOGIST
Sarah is a Registered Psychologist with a strong passion for supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents, and adults. She is committed to creating a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe, understood, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.
Sarah utilises a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s unique needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and play-based therapy. She has experience supporting individuals presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, emotional regulation difficulties, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), substance use concerns, chronic pain, stress-related difficulties, grief and loss, and complex mental health presentations. Sarah also has extensive experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual Disability.
A key area of interest for Sarah is psychological assessment and intervention. She conducts comprehensive psychological and psychometric assessments, including Cognitive Assessments, ADHD Assessments, Trauma Assessments, and assessments relating to anxiety, depression, emotional functioning, and overall mental health. Sarah enjoys working collaboratively with individuals and families to better understand cognitive strengths, behavioural patterns, emotional experiences, and support needs, helping clients gain greater self-awareness and access appropriate supports and interventions.
Sarah also has experience conducting comprehensive risk assessments and supporting individuals with complex behavioural, emotional, and psychosocial needs across a variety of settings.
Outside of her professional practice, Sarah enjoys reading, leisurely walks, cooking, pilates, travelling, and exploring different restaurants around the city.
