Johanna is a qualified and registered Social Worker with the Australian Association of Social Workers, as well as a trained Kinesiologist, who specialises in working with neurodiverse children and their families. With extensive experience in both therapeutic and behavioural support, Johanna is passionate about creating inclusive, supportive environments where neurodivergent children feel safe, understood, and empowered.

She has worked across a range of settings, supporting children with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental differences, and brings a strong understanding of the unique challenges they may face. Using practical, strength-based strategies, Johanna helps families build connection, improve regulation, and support emotional development in a way that honours each child’s individual needs.

Her holistic, trauma-informed approach integrates nervous system regulation, behavioural insight, and kinesiology to support both emotional and physical wellbeing. Johanna’s warm, grounded presence helps children and families feel seen and supported at every stage of their journey.

More about me…

What inspired you to pursue a career in your field of allied health/psychology?
I was drawn to this field through a deep desire to support individuals navigating complex experiences. Witnessing the impact of trauma, mental health challenges, and systemic barriers in people’s lives inspired me to become part of the solution—offering a safe space for healing, growth, and empowerment.

What’s one area you’re particularly passionate about in your clinical work, and why?
I feel especially drawn to trauma-informed work, particularly with children and families who have had challenging experiences. It’s incredibly meaningful to support someone as they begin to feel safe again, rediscover their strengths, and slowly rebuild trust in themselves and the world around them. Being part of that journey, even in small ways, is something I find really special.

How would you describe your style or approach in sessions?
My approach is warm, client-led, and grounded in safety and connection. I integrate trauma-informed principles with somatic awareness and evidence-based modalities to support clients holistically. I also bring a gentle curiosity, believing that the therapeutic relationship is a space where clients should feel seen, heard, and never judged.

What’s your guilty pleasure show, podcast, or snack?
Sweet and buttery popcorn—hands down! It’s my go-to comfort snack for all occasions!
